A free upright piano from Christian Henson (Pianobook), played in Decent Sampler.
Claustrophobic Piano places the listener almost inside Christian Henson's Schimmel. He put two Neumann M149 microphones and a KU100 binaural dummy head inside the piano's body, then covered them with a duvet to shut out the room. The result is very close and dry, with no sense of the space around the piano. Henson made it to be even more intimate than his LABS Soft Piano. It suits quiet, personal scenes, inner thoughts and close-up moments. The binaural recording is meant for headphones and may sound less natural on speakers. A free Pianobook account is needed to download it.
Worth knowing: You need a free Pianobook account to download it. The Kontakt version may not run in the free Kontakt Player, so use the Decent Sampler version.
