A free grand piano from Ivy Audio, played in SFZ player.
Piano in 162 is a Steinway Model B grand sampled by Ivy Audio. It has five dynamic levels, two round robins, separate pedal-up and pedal-down samples, and two microphone positions. It is a large, detailed library at about 4.9 GB. It is free for personal and commercial use, with donations welcome. It suits emotional themes, film scores and classical-style writing that need a full grand. There are no release samples, so note endings can sound abrupt without some reverb. The maker's page currently offers BitTorrent downloads only, so you need a torrent client to get it.
Worth knowing: The download is by BitTorrent only. Load it in a free SFZ player such as Plogue sforzando.
